Together we go on festival
The IDEA Together We Go On Festival, established in 2021, is a biennial global event lasting 10 to 18 hours that aims to connect theatre and drama educators and practitioners worldwide. This initiative, led by the Director of Projects and collaboratively developed by IDEA members and their associates involved in drama and theatre education, provides a platform for showcasing their works, practices, and researches to a global audience.
Over the years, this festival has fostered meaningful exchanges within the field of drama education across different regions and communities. The third edition of the festival took place successfully on September 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 19:00 GMT+2. IDEA members and affiliates submitted proposals for participation, reflecting a diverse range of high-quality content.
The festival featured a relay of insights shared by theatre and drama educators starting from Europe and extending to Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Attendees from each region had the opportunity to engage with tailored and enriching content online, aligning with their specific interests.

Dear members and friends of IDEA,
As the Director of Projects, I am pleased to extend an invitation to the IDEA Together We Go On Festival 2025, scheduled for September 27th. This longstanding festival has facilitated valuable exchanges among regions and communities within the realm of drama education. Originating in Europe, theater and drama educators will sequentially share their insights in a relay fashion, spanning from Europe to Africa, Asia, and finally the Americas. Residents in each region are encouraged to invite their acquaintances to participate in the festival online. Your full participation in the 18-hour event over the weekend is highly recommended and promises to be a worthwhile investment of your time.
We express our gratitude to all IDEA members and friends for submitting their proposals and contributing to this festival. The received proposals exhibit exceptional richness in content, posing challenges in scheduling to allow for ample time for each speaker. We are confident that all participants will find valuable and engaging content tailored to their interests at this festival.

The second Online World Festival ‘Together We Go On’ was held on the 26th of August 2023. It was an 18-hour non-stop festival, as inclusive as possible – no time zones, no one excluded!

Dear readers, dear colleagues, dear members and friends of IDEA,
As co-directors of Projects and Concepts of IDEA we are very happy to invite you to the second Online World Festival ‘Together We Go On’ on August 26 and August 27. Check here the times in your region. To be as inclusive as possible we are going to program 18 hours non-stop. No time zones, no one excluded. A wide range of workshops, theatre performances, lectures and presentations will be presented to you for free!
We thank all the IDEA-members who sent their content and who want to show the community what is happening within Drama/Theatre and Education worldwide. For us as co-directors of Projects and Concepts it is inspiring to see the enthusiasm with which associations and individuals send us their proposals for content.
We believe the IDEA community can be proud on the programme of this years festival. The wide-range of content from different regions shows the diverse working areas and fields of expertise of the IDEA-members. With this programme we think there is something interesting to find for everyone.
We start the festival in Oceania, then the focus will shift to Asia, followed by Europe, then Africa. We will end the festival in America starting in the North and finishing in South-America. This way everyone is able to invite audience from their regions to come online and watch on a convenient time.

TOGETHER WE GO ON A FESTIVAL 2021
The first Together We Go On Festival happened on 28th and 29th August, 2021. Theatre educators all over the world are creating work and are looking for new ways to make performances. During this 36-hour online festival, IDEA created an open and inclusive space where members shared their work/practises/research with the world.
